# login, templates, version

> Store credentials, list what you can lease, and print envctl's version.

## envctl login

```bash theme={null}
envctl login --api <url> --token <token>
```

Stores the API's address and a CLI token in `~/.envlink/credentials.json` (mode 0600), then checks them.

| Flag | Default | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `--api` | | The API, for example `https://envlink-api.projectinwork.com` |
| `--token` | `$ENVLINK_TOKEN` | A CLI token from the console: **Settings → CLI tokens** |

`ENVLINK_API` and `ENVLINK_TOKEN` override stored credentials, which suits CI runners that shouldn't write a token to disk.

## envctl templates

```bash theme={null}
envctl templates
```

Lists the templates you can lease, with their services, shares, size and timeouts.

## envctl version

```bash theme={null}
envctl version
```

```text theme={null}
envctl 0.5.0-9237c06
```
